Kinema is an AI image and video generator. This page explains what we collect when you use it, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read.
01What we collect
- Account details: your name, work email and password (stored hashed) when you sign up.
- Prompts and uploads: the text you type and the pictures you upload, so we can generate what you asked for and show it in your library.
- Generations: the pictures and video you make, with their settings (model, ratio, seed).
- Billing details: handled by our payment provider. We see the last four digits of your card and your billing country, never the full number.
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used and rough location from your IP address, to keep the service fast and fix what breaks.
02How we use it
We use your data to run Kinema, to bill you, to answer support requests and to keep accounts safe. We send product emails you can switch off, and a small number of service emails you cannot (receipts, security notices).
03Your prompts and pictures stay yours
Your prompts, uploads and generations are never used to train our public models. Style training you run stays private to your team. Staff only open your content when you ask for help or when we must investigate abuse.
04Who we share it with
We use a short list of sub-processors: cloud hosting, payments, email delivery and error tracking. Each one is under contract to handle your data only on our instructions. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with advertisers.
05How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account is open. Generations stay in your library until you delete them. When you close your account we delete your content within 30 days and backups within 90 days. Invoices are kept as long as tax law requires.
06Your rights
You can see, correct, export or delete your data from your account settings, or by writing to us. If you live in the EU, the UK or California you also have the right to object to some processing and to complain to your regulator.
